The “Wittgenstein solution” in which a standard lever handle is paired with a cranked design on the slamming face is one we are very familiar with. With the 1183 model Hadi Teherani, by contrast, delivers the function of the cranked handle – i.e. to reduce the danger of fingers getting caught – by simply shifting the handle’s centre of rotation leftwards.
