For the talented architect David Chipperfield the idea to create his own line of handles stems from his ambition to fit buildings with handles that represent his architectural philosophy. Chipperfield's handle design displays influences from the logical clarity of both the modernist architecture and philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein. Model 1004 is based on a formal concept that complies with all functional requirements, and thus illustrates the architect's philosophy in both private and public spaces.
